Jaime Walsh is a Vancouver freelance photographer experienced in all types of film formats such as 4X5, medium format, 35mm, B&W, color and transparency. Now, Jaime works with an all digital format.

Jaime first began studying the art of photography in the 1990's.

To further her art, she traveled extensively throughout North America, Central America, the Caribbean and Mediterranean and now resides in Vancouver British Columbia.

Jaime's personal equipment, used now, is a Nikon digital SLR with an 18-70mm, 50mm, 60mm macro, and an SB800 flash.

• first cameras were a 110 point and shoot and a Minolta 35mm SLR
• software currently using; Photoshop, Photomatix
• favorite effects; contrast, HDR. I just play around with the photo.
• experienced with; 4x5 format, medium format, 35mm format, b&w film, color film, transparency, full studio setups with multiple flashes/light boxes/umbrellas and large muslin backgrounds.
• experienced in b&w darkrooms, color darkrooms, and digital darkrooms
• started as a hobby in high school in the 90's
• studied at Algonquin College, Ottawa, Ontario for 2 years
• last 7 years working in the photography business
• two of those years spent on cruise ships shooting special events, souvenir shots and portraits
• traveled through North America, Central America, Caribbean, and Mediterranean working and building portfolio
• favorite photography styles are macro and abstract
• when doing personal shoots, I choose an unpopulated, quiet place
• get into my own bubble
• feel free, relaxed, happy, excited, concentrated, like a kid exploring a new playground

Jaime is also highly experienced in photo manipulation and can repair extremely damaged photos, affected by color lost, scratches, creases and tears. (example available on request)
